The claims arise out of allegations of breach of contract, business disputes, premises liability, car accidents, construction accidents, trucking accidents, nursing/skilled care, inheritance litigation, estate planning, and product failure. We also provide services including risk and litigation management protocols and training, large loss subrogation recovery, special investigations, business transactions, and real estate disputes. I am a trained mediator who is available to resolve disputes out of court. I am an experienced trial lawyer who has for the past 25 years prosecuted and defended numerous cases to jury verdict throughout Northern Illinois resolved of cases at bench trial, arbitration and mediation. I guide my clients through legal disputes and help them to understand the case-specific factors impacting, as well as the cost/benefit analysis, of litigation versus out-of-court resolution.

Kim was an elected member of the DuPage County Bar Association from 2011-2014. The DCBA is a professional legal organization of over 2500 attorney and judge members. She currently serves on the DCBA's Board of Directors, an elected position. Kim's additional leadership roles in the DCBA include: Member, Judicial Review Committee (2013 - 2017); Chair, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (2012-2013); Chair, Civil Practice Committee (2011-2012); member, Ad Hoc Committee for Trial Advocacy (2011-2012); Chair, Ad Hoc Diversity Committee (2008-2009). Kim received the DCBA's Board of Directors Award in 2009 and again in 2017. Kim has served as a judge and evaluator for the Moot Court Competitions held by the DCBA.

Kim served as an Adjunct Professor at the College of DuPage from 2009 to 2013. She taught Civil Litigation to paralegal students in the evening program. Kim is a former paralegal who attended law school in the evenings while working full-time. This teaching opportunity was a great way to "give back" and Kim was able to relate to each student's experience. In 2013, she and her teaching partner were nominated for a College of DuPage Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Member Award.

At Knight, Hoppe Kim was an associate attorney and prosecuted numerous subrogation claims sounding in product liablity, construction negligence, general negligence and automobile negligence in courtrooms across the State. After moving to the western suburbs, Kim decided to join a firm closer to home with a concentration on litigation of a variety amount of negligence, personal injury and tort issues.
