Induction Coach
Current• Mentor first and second year Chicago Public School teachers by providing support with professional goal-setting, lesson planning, classroom management, RTI/MTSS implementation, data analysis, and analyzing student work, while using NTC’s Formative Assessment System tools and protocols• Conduct non-evaluative observations and collect data in order to provide teachers with feedback on instructional strategies, measure student growth and set instructional next steps• Collaborate with school administrators around school initiatives and teacher development• Develop local and national professional development for teachers based on teacher needs and district initiatives• Facilitate professional development for new teachers including small, focused study groups and large seminars (topics presented on include: Executive Functioning, Trauma, Learning Differences and the Neurodevelopmental Constructs (AKOM), Onboarding for new hires at NTC, Formative Assessment, New Teacher Summer Academy)• Presented webinar on designing websites to support professional development • Coordinated 50-person event for teachers and colleagues with Eye to Eye ambassador and Understood.org• Support teachers in identifying and understanding students’ learning differences through use of the All Kinds of Minds neurodevelopmental constructs and tools• Certified facilitator of QED’s All Kinds of Minds curriculum• Co-presented at NTC’s 2015 National Symposium • Implement technology into coaching practice through video observations and peer feedback using Torsh Talent, participation in and facilitation of online professional development using Blackboard Collaborate• All Kinds of Minds and Learning Differences expert for Chicago i3 Team • Enrollment Coordinator of NTC’s online portal, Learning Zone• Organize and engage team of colleagues through development of training and management of calendaring and scheduling of forums and Mentor Academies for Chicago i3 team
