About Kim Fielding
KIM FIELDING is a NCPT certified Pilates Teacher, and Wellness professional. Currently, she is a Master Teacher and Director of Pilates for Club Pilates. She was the Director of Teacher Training at Gramercy Pilates NYC, for 8 years. Fielding created and developed a series of needed Group Pilates classes consisting of Pilates for Text Necks tm, Pilates for Pelvic Floor, Pilates for Brain Fitness, Pilates for Bad Backs/Pain, Pilates for Standing Foundation, Pilates for Rehab, Pilates for Posture Plus and Pilates for pre and postnatal Women. She gives workshops on all of the topics. She has been featured in Vogue, Pilates Style, Dance Magazine and VOA TV. Prior to that she taught Pilates at Movement’s Afoot for 11 years where she also taught in the mind body fitness certification program with owner Lesley Powell, Dr. Martha Eddy and with Doris Pasteleur –Hall. She also teaches privates, classes and workshops for Pilates teachers and up in coming Pilates teacher’s. Her passion and belief in Pilates started when doing Pilates at Movements Afoot. She felt and realized the strength of all her muscles, tendons and joints. Old injuries healed. She was able to move and dance again in a gleeful, efficient way. Her clients range in age from 12 to 80 years of age. They consist of people who want to be healthy, heal an injury, rid and manage pain, increase self-esteem, increase quality of life and increase performance of dancers and athletes. Fielding got her B.A. in Psychology and did her Master’s program at Springfield College in Health Promotion/Wellness Management with and advanced certificate of study in Counseling. Kim’s working career include: Director of Pilates 360 NYC affiliated with NOLA Physical Therapy where she worked as a Movement Therapist, exercise rehab specialist, and Pilates Instructor, Director for the Women’s Health Center at the JCC in West Orange, New Jersey, health and group exercise director for three health clubs in NJ, rehabilitation specialist at Recovery Physical Therapy and as a personal trainer for Equinox. Fielding is also certified as a Rehabilitation Specialist, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor , BARRE above® instructor, NASM Personal Trainer, is a Prenatal Corrective Exercise Specialist and has specialized training in MS, Parkinson’s Disease, Back Pain/Rehab, Text Necks, Pelvic Floor, Neuro fitness, and many injuries. She was also trained as a sexual assault crisis intervention specialist. Fielding studied in the Somatic Movement Teacher Training program, SMTT with Dr. Martha Eddy.
