As a virtual assistant I am responsible for supporting my clients with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), creative writing, content structure and marketing. I must work to pre-defined deadlines and need to ensure that I am able to prioritise my workload in line with the needs of my clients, upselling additional services to suit their needs. I enjoy a varied workload, with each client having different needs. I am on hand to pick up tasks at short notice and problem solve to get the job done.As I perform this role on a self-employed basis though, it also means that I deliver my own administrative and financial workload including contract generation, pay negotiations, and time management. I am responsible for generating my own invoices, tracking payment and balancing my own accounts ready for my year-end tax submissions.

As the creator behind the blog OddHogg, not only am I a written and visual content creator, but also an experienced salesperson, proof-reader, copywriter, communications manager, marketing manager and self-promoter. To be successful, I am required to not only have a working knowledge of SEO, but all aspects of social media as well including Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Threads and TikTok.This includes using SEO, keyword research, Google Search Console Google Analytics to write engaging copy that ranks well on search engines. Tailoring my approach to suit current online trends and stay up to date with changes to digital algorithms.

I support a dynamic team in the third sector. My time is balanced between managing room bookings, for both Children 1st and our partners, managing petty cash, processing invoices, providing support for our information management system and minute taking. As part of my role it is important to ensure confidentiality at all times, and I have a working knowledge of GDPR and safeguarding. I make sure all incoming communications are dealt with promptly and appropriately and demonstrate care and attention to detail in carrying out tasks.I provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to the office manager and assistant director as well as the wider team. I joined BP as part of the accredited engineering graduate program in 2012. During this time I completed three separate placements, teamed with additional training, in order to develop both technical and management competence. My roles were as follows; Turnarounds – Single point accountability for a number of projects in a 2013 turnaround on a North Sea platform. Responsibilities included liaising with vendors, ensuring project readiness prior to execution, communication with numerous parties (offshore and onshore) via video and phone conference, tracking progress of my projects, issue resolution in a short timeframe, resolution of engineering and inspection queries, updating and raising work orders in Maximo.Projects – Project engineer in the appraisal team for the North Sea Renewals Project. I was part of multi-discipline team which was accountable for increasing the operation efficiency for a number of North Sea assets, and as such making a change to the Safety Case to allow for 2+1 cabins and reviewing the effects on PFEER. Responsibilities included workscope prioritisation based on impact on operational efficiency, identification and understanding of project risks and development of an appropriate action plan, data, trend analysis to identify areas of improvement, multi-function communications, completion of a continuous improvement project and overseeing the implementation.Integrity – Pressure systems integrity engineer providing technical support to the BP North Sea offshore assets. Responsibilities included carrying out formal technical assessments on pressure safety equipment, reviewing risk based assessments and auditing the execution, tracking and following up on audit actions, interrogating Maximo to track preventative maintenance routines and update as appropriate.

I was based in the Main Operations Centre during the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. I was part of a team which was managing the areas between the transport hubs and the entrance to the event venues. I was reacting to real time issues and in constant communication with those on site. Responsibilities included tracking, updating and logging issues, compiling daily reports and problem solving.
