I am interested in health care that is wellness oriented and one that not only focuses on getting patient's out of pain, but also one that emphasizes the importance of preventing illnesses and dysfunctions from happening in the first place. I believe in a holistic approach when it comes to health care and I look to collaborate with other health care professionals to deliver the best available treatment based on the best available evidence. I also believe in a patient specific approach to health care. Every individual is unique in their own way and their symptoms are presented in different ways; hence treatments need to be tailored to suit the unique needs of each patient individually. Furthermore, I believe in patient autonomy and the power of the mind over body. Every one of us is in control of our own conditions and with a little guidance, we can control our pain and not let pain control our everyday function. With this approach, I hope that I can shift the traditional one treatment fits all approach and provide the guidance my future patients need to help them get out of pain, return to full function and maintain well-being status through movement and mobility.
