Planning, creating and scheduling social media content alongside copywriting.

This 3-month placement was undertaken as part of a university module ‘professional practice’. During these 3 months I undertook various digital marketing aspects- primarily focusing on social media and content creation, with areas such as email marketing and influencer outreach covered too. This opportunity allowed me to gain experience in not only digital marketing but also recipe creation.

During this 3 month internship I undertook the role of a social media manager- managing, creating and posting daily content across all platforms. Alongside this I wrote and published blog posts for the company’s website with strong consideration to SEO and was also involved with influencer outreach. During these 3 months I completed 3, 4-part email campaigns which aimed to educate potential and existing students with the goal of retaining/gaining their business. Towards the end of my internship EmpowerOwl held an online summer programme consisting of a variety of workshops. I created posters and graphics for these for the social media and implemented a marketing strategy to ensure the success of this. Paid Instagram and Facebook ads were also developed as part of this, aiding in the success of this as the sign up goal was met and exceeded. By the end of the 3 months the Instagram following increased by 130.4% and TikTok by 888.8%. More figures and points can be found in the summary attached.
