This journey has allowed me to become proficient in strategic planning, board and committee development, project management, certification, professional education, meeting & event planning, as well as membership and budget development. Although my title has been executive director, my role included administrative responsibilities as well as strategic decision making responsibilities. In each and every position, whether it be as an association director, pastoral council representative, or as an administrative support, my goal is to help each organization realize their vision through experience and sweat equity. I am a team player who pitches in when needed but also knows when to step back and let others lead the way.On a personal level I am committed to working hard to empower myself and my colleagues about health and fitness. During my tenure at EDI I worked with a team of two others to develop a Wellness Committee which inspired employees to take an active role in their health and well being. In five years this committee has become the only self-sustaining committee at EDI. This committee is still in existence and continues to thrive by empowering people to move, be conscious of their nutrition, and find balance between work and life. My top five talents, as identified by the Clifton Strengths Finder, are Responsibility, Belief, Connectedness, Restorativeness and Harmony.
