I am a lawyer and mediator. I am a partner at Harper Grey LLP and I practice in the health law and insurance groups. My legal practice is broadly focused on matters associated with complex bodily injury claims which often involve complex causation issues. In the insurance context, I provide risk management advice and represent clients in a variety of claims arising from excess automobile insurance policies, homeowners policies, product liability claims, slips and falls, and complex personal injury actions. I act for insurance companies as well self-insured businesses including numerous large retail and restaurant chains.In my health law practice I represent physicians in civil actions, coroners inquests, and in matters before the College of Physicians and Surgeons. I also provide advice to physicians on a wide range of medical legal matters and I have a particular interest in fertility law. I am also a former adjunct professor at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law and taught an upper year course in health law.
