About Kim Kelleher
I received a BA in Mathematics from the University of Virginia and went to work for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in NYC doing systems consulting for financial institutions. After becoming a manager, I took the opportunity to move into Human Resources and ended up as Director of HR for the Metro New York office (NY/NJ/CT). A reorganization made me head of an HR team for the Eastern part of the US which I held until I left the corporate world to raise a family.Four kids later, I ended up taking on volunteer roles in schools, sports organization and other non-profit work and found that I was drawn to the finance area of these groups. After becoming Treasurer for multiple groups, I took on my first bookkeeping client in 2010 and then added 3 more clients over the next 2 years. I now have an independent contractor working for me and am looking to expand my business with a focus on cloud-based bookkeeping and organization/workflow. A goal of my expansion is to provide a way for women that have left the workforce to re-enter it through work at Raw Books with work-from-home flexible hours and schedule.
