Develop opportunities to drive increased value within the CHNW Affluent Segment. This includes understanding the customer lifecycle and connecting with the customer to entrench the customer through effective strategies that include activation, retention, adoption, and re-engagement. We are responsible for developing and executing campaign solutions based on patterns detected on the customer journey which includes engagement and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Enabled pricing solutions for customers within the retail, commercial and wholesale finance sectors by investing myself in these industries and therefore serving as a shared resource. Pricing solutions are derived from the Return on Equity model which we continually evaluate, test and update to ensure it is aligned to business strategy and current economic conditions. Our role is threefold; providing the means to price, by means of various Pricing resources; the ability to price, by means of training; and accountability to ensure the strategy is adopted by business against applicable standards. Currently, I am the pricing lead on the VAF modernisation journey, which involves in-depth analysis of the current and future processes, regulations and strategy. A major portion to this role includes communication with external and internal stakeholders of the employed strategy and pricing to-be outcomes as well as developing, testing and deploying various pricing products within the new software.

Conducted in-depth research into potential and current investment opportunities, producing investment reports for clients as well as marketing briefs. Industries included mining, student accommodation, and construction, with a primary focus on the property sector. Performed comprehensive due diligence including net present value analysis and evaluation of the financial, legal and operational aspects. Additional responsibilities included all compliance functions, establishing the disaster recovery plan, and implementing the FIC Amendment and POPI policies.

Actively managed relationships with analysts at sell-side brokers within EMEA (Europe, Middle East and African) regions to source earnings estimated data for the Bloomberg Terminal with a specialised focus on interim data. Ensured data quality by reconciling sell-side data with analyst reports, as well as monitoring accounting basis, scaling and currency factors. Liaised closely with our team in London to ensure all company forecasts for EMEA were obtained prior to the report date, often operating in extremely time sensitive environments. Investigated broker submission trends to develop internal work flow solutions for the data team, resulting in total automation for 11 brokers. Implemented a training and work flow plan for five new hires, focusing on balancing work load, minimising inefficiencies and errors, while teaching core role functionality.

Calculated and managed electricity billing for a shopping centre owned by Xyletate (Pty). This included measuring the electricity consumption per shop and calculating specific common area charges according to the shop definition by means of an excel spreadsheet and tariffs as set out by the Ekhurleni Municipality. Further to this, invoices were prepared and managed by means of Softline Pastel software and managed tenant relationships in respect of their electricity matters, ensuring payments were made timeously, reconciling invoices and resolving tenants’ concerns.
