I am proud to say I began my career at the Chicago Southland CVB as a College Intern in 1990. After my internship, I was hired on part time while I completed my last year of college. I have now been employed at the CVB for 30 years and still love working in the tourism industry. I am amazed at how far the CVB has come and look forward to the future that awaits.As a destination expert/content specialist for the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago, I am tasked with providing the right graphics and information about the Chicago Southland region to meetings, sports, social events, group tour planners, as well as leisure visitors. My goal is to spark interest in the Chicago Southland through print and digital advertising, social media, travel inspirations, public relations, VisitChicagoSouthland.com and a series of publications including our annual Visitors Guide and biannual Festivals & Events Guide. I am also our Local Grant Program Coordinator and excited to have recently awarded our Millionth grant dollar. Through this grant program, I assist planners with obtaining promotional dollars for their upcoming Chicago Southland meeting or event.In my free time, I like to run and read; however, what I enjoy most is creating wonderful memories by traveling with family.I want to connect with people who have an interest in traveling to the Chicago Southland for meetings, sports events, group tours, social events and reunions so I can provide the ideal content and connections ensuring the best Chicago Southland experience.
