Kim Kisner serves as outside counsel to a number of Pennsylvania businesses and non-profits and advises on employment law and human resource issues. She also serves as a Title IX attorney advisor to several local universities. Kim is a residential real estate investor in the city of Pittsburgh’s Park Place neighborhood. Given Kim's familiarity with the legal aspects of buying, selling, and leasing properties, combined with 20 years of landlording experiences, Kim works with real estate clients to ensure compliance with landlord tenant and Fair Housing laws. Kim represents property management companies and landlords in landlord tenant hearings, appeals and litigation. She also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in real estate disputes. Kim has helped hundreds of Allegheny County property owners reduce their property tax liability through real estate tax assessment appeals. Kim has served as a trustee of St. Barnabas Charities since 2021. She previously served as a board member for the 100-year-old Junior League of Pittsburgh, Inc. In 2007, Kim co-chaired the Junior League of Pittsburgh’s Designers’ Show House, raising a record $122,000 for the League’s service projects. Kim was first recognized for community commitment when she was selected by Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP) as one of 2006’s “40 Under 40,” and by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a 2008 Community Champion. Kim was honored by the Governor as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business (2009).
