Kim Kit Ow is a partner in Blackletter LLC (formerly known as Legal Ink LLC) specialising in corporate, investment and private banking, financial regulatory advice, insurance and Fintech. Her clients include global banks, insurers, international corporates and institutions, Fintech companies and leading conglomerates. Kit has years of experience both as a practising lawyer and as in-house counsel. She began her career in a leading Singapore law firm where she practised as a shipping and disputes resolution lawyer. She later moved into the banking and finance sector, where she worked for both private and public bodies, including Credit Suisse, Scotiabank and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”). Kit worked for several years with the MAS, where she dealt with Singapore’s banking laws and regulations and also led a team responsible for the development of the wealth management and trust industry in Singapore. Her time at Scotiabank and Credit Suisse saw her work on the legal aspects of product development, transactions and documentation, both from an Investment Banking angle (while in Scotia) and then from a Private Banking angle (while in Credit Suisse). She also worked on the dispute resolution matters while in both banks.
