About Kim Krueger Cpp
I came to Workday in 2015 as a solution consultant within the pre-sales, demoing the Workday technology to prospective customers. I moved from sales into the services side of the organization to help Workdays existing customers. I have been promoted to manage the Workday Success Plans for the functional areas of Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking and Scheduling. We have global teams that deliver content and support to our post production customers. My background prior to Workday has been in industry. I have worked in the payroll/TT, benefits, and HRIS roles for over 16 years in a variety of positions where I have the opportunity to be a Project Manager on multiple system implementations or HRIS Admin including Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, Lawson. I graduated from Concordia University-St. Paul with a BA in Human Resources Management and an AA in Business Administration. I obtained my CPP in the fall of 2005 and I was recertified in 2010 and 2015 with continued education. I became an active member of the National APA and the Northstar chapter in 2003. I was the Program Chair on the Northstar Chapter Board for two years where I had the opportunity to be a facilitator for National Seminars taking place in the Twin Cities and on the Board of the Ceridian User group. I also was asked to be a presenter at the Ultimate Software National Conference in 2013. The topic I spoke on was Change Management, Process Improvement, and Growing Your Payroll Career.

Director Of Payroll And Benefits
In this role, I was responsible for the administration, implementation, and strategic vision for both the Payroll and Benefits departments. Many of my responsibilities from my position of Sr. Payroll Manager continued. In addition, using Ultimate Software we successfully moved to online Open Enrollment with automated carrier interfaces to our benefit vendors. I was also responsible for plan design, and contract negotiations, which for 2013 was a 0% increase, along with our vendor and broker relationships. In additional to our Health and Welfare plans, we also administer Retirement and Pension plans.Our payroll is one of the most complex payrolls I have experienced. We are responsible for the payroll for our players and support staff for 4 leagues. (NHL, AHL, CHL, and ECHL) Our NHL team is based in MN and our AHL team is based in TX. Players can move between leagues and teams during the season with changes to their contracted rate of pay, state withholding, and union dues. Their withholdings are based on state they are physically located in each day during the season. Each league also has a union and each player has a specific type of contract. We pay all the administrative support staff and arena staff, which included 4 additional unions, one of which is similar to a contracted temp agency. We report union benefits, wage, and hours to each union on a monthly basis. We transitioned from Ceridian to UltiPro in January of 2010, in addition to implementing UltiPro Time and Attendance with the same live date. I was the project manager and I also was responsible to create multiple levels of training and documentation for our project team, super users, managers and employees. We no longer print pay stubs and all employee changes are handled online. We have implemented procedures and processes to create efficiency and cost savings. We are now utilizing our reporting tools to analyze labor metrics and business needs to continue to find cost savings. .
Payroll Manger
CDI is a nationwide outpatient imaging company that focuses on quality and sub-specialized radiology. I was with CDI from 2003 as a Payroll Administrator and grew in my role to Payroll Manager. I was responsible for all aspects of the payroll department, from systems support and upgrades, merger and acquisitions, taxation, compliance, garnishments, oversight of their multi-state payroll processing, timekeeping, management and training of the payroll staff, and systems training for users and supervisors. Along with these duties, I also ensured that the payroll department had a strategic vision within the company. I was the project manager of an upgrade to Ceridian’s Web product and Self Service.
Payroll Administrator
I was in the Corporate Payroll department reporting to the Payroll Manager. I was the Corp payroll lead in our Lawson HRIS conversion. The implementation took a little over a year and was successful. I also handled the garnishments for all employees, which ranged from 100-300 garnishments at a time. We also handled more of the complex payroll entries and transactions like restricted stock options and executive compensation.
