I grew up in the "rugged individualist" Arizona of yesteryear, drawing on my gypsy czech roots in my teens to hitch hike around the world. My partner and co-founder at Oei Design (and husband) was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, surfed his way through high school at Ventura,California, got his B-Arch at the UofA, but spent his real formative years in NYC with Emilio Ambasz as mentor. Rizal has left his mark on almost every conceivable built environment but is best known for consumer environments - destination architecture! There is much more to tell and believe me I can tell it (kissed the Blarney stone at 19) but I'll leave it for another day.
