I know farmers. I understand marketing. I've worked in communications and marketing within agriculture since 1988. My experience ranges from traveling nationally and internationally as an ag journalist; starting as a company's first marketing person and building a brand from scratch to national recognition and also managing a marketing team for a global brand producing materials in multiple languages.My common sense approach is based on communicating clearly, using the right channels for the target audience that you need to reach. I especially enjoy creating content strategy and business blogging for agricultural companies, along with using social media to expand the reach.I'm a great networker, very well connected within the industry. I have helped others build beneficial business relationships, and I can do that for your company as well.

I work with farmers from around the world, helping them communicate in an effort to maintain their access to technology and world markets.

I write new product launch videos for an ag equipment dealer channel. The challenge here is taking a laundry list of new features and understanding which ones will influence the market, capture the interest and passion of dealers and ultimately benefit the businesses of the end customer.

I have worked with large agricultural companies in this role, writing materials for educational sessions with targeted growers through peer-to-peer marketing. I have also started Beck Ag's internal social media marketing efforts, connecting with two audiences, farmers and ag marketers.

When this company became Water Street Solutions in October of 2008, we started from scratch to develop a brand and a different way of going to market. Our customers understood what we did, but not how we served them differently. Our metrics for success are year on year gains in net worth, not more money in the commodity account. We communicated this through a strong content marketing system, with guest columns in industry publications and blogs, radio and TV appearances, seminars, meeting sponsorship, and initiatives with industry influencers. Worked to measure our success with clients using the Net Promoter Score. Built a scholarship program to build a brand with the best young people coming into our industry.

Newly created in-state sales position for the Nebraska Radio Network and the Brownfield Network. Worked with a variety of companies, state government and non-profits to achieve communications and marketing goals through radio and new media.
