I am a Principal Lawyer at FCW Lawyers and manage our team of Workplace Relations lawyers.I act for employers, working with HR Managers and injury management leaders in the Education, Meat Processing, Local Government, Manufacturing and Health industries throughout Australia. I work with employers to manage employee injuries (work and non-work related); complex health and performance-related issues; workers’ compensation claims; and undertake investigations relating to employee misconduct.My approach is to find clever and practical solutions and, while doing so, transfer my knowledge and upskill my clients to create real value for them to improve their business processes.My work includes:• Workers’ compensation premium management and improvement• Termination and rejection of workers’ compensation claims• Managing, and where appropriate, terminating the employment of employees who are not fit for the inherent requirements of their job• Developing employer-focused return to work programs, care plans, drug and mental health plans, which promotes the safe return to work of employees but protects the employer’s interests• Undertaking and supervising investigations into employee misconduct• Undertaking investigations into workers’ compensation stress claims• General employment-related matters including unfair dismissal, adverse action and discrimination claimsFCW Lawyers is a workplace and commercial law firm.
