About Kimberly Stephens

As a highly motivated and creative scientist with a diverse background in molecular biology and drug discovery, I am seeking to lead innovative research efforts. I have a deep understanding of various aspects of virology, bacteriology, host-pathogen interactions, immunology, neuroscience, signal transduction pathways, enzymology, reproduction, and biochemistry, and have proven experience in building and maintaining collaborative cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners while managing multiple projects. In my current position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, I have developed new lead therapeutics using a Drosophila model and worked closely with chemistry and medical professionals to create new drugs. I am a highly self-directed and proactive team member with excellent mentorship and training skills, as demonstrated by my experience managing and training lab technicians and students. I am excited to bring my skills and experiences to a new role as a leader in drug discovery and make a positive impact on research efforts.
