CurrentThaddeus Resource Center has a mission to reach around the world and across the street, to bring HOPE to 'at risk' youth, pregnant teens, teen moms, single moms and families of children with special needs. The Thaddeus Foundation was originally founded in 1975 by the late Dr. Malcolm Robertson, who was a professor & administrator at APU. It began as a way for students traveling around the world on short term mission trips to bring HOPE, to fund-raise. In 2014 the foundation expanded to serving the local community through its service based programs, as well. We believe that everyone deserves to have HOPE for a better future. It is this belief that moves us to reach out to people who are often marginalized by society; ‘at risk’ youth, pregnant teens, teen and single mothers, and families of children with special needs. We look to provide these individuals with support as well as education to assist them in building a brighter future. Our programs cover a multitude of needs: Big Heart Little Hugs Program is designed to support families of children with special needs.o Community Group for Moms of Children with Special Needso Community Group for Dads of Children with Special Needso Hair Angels - a hair salon for the special needs community launches April 27, 2015o Workshops & ClassesHope That Helps Teen Center is designed to inspire HOPE and growth in ‘at risk’ youth and pregnant teens.o Homework Hotspot - tutoring for 6th – 12th graderso Teen Parent Support Group o Workshops & Classeso Emergency Teen Shelter (coming in 2016)o Miracle Ranch (in planning stages)Hand 2 Hand Program is designed to support teen and single moms. o Teen Mom Support Groupo Support Groupso Moms Mentoring Moms o Workshops & ClassesTBS (coming in 2016)Wrap Around (coming in 2016)Directed Giving Program is designed to support your favorite organization, missionary, church or individual.
