Worked in a multi-national software team that maintained and developed PC software for Trussmatic's roof truss production line. My main responsibility was the operator user interface application running on Windows and implemented using Qt framework and C++.

Worked in the Stages project, a web meeting and collaboration solution running on the web browser. Mainly the work was front-end work, doing changes to the Stages user interface according to the new requirements. Technologies used in the work were mainly HTML, CSS/SASS, AngularJS and also some jQuery and Bootstrap.

Worked in the Imaging team that was part of the Nokia X2 phone project that was based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project). Mainly worked on the camera application tweaking and rewriting the Java code to make the application match the new UI design. During error correction phase, did some framework level debugging to solve few video file parser issues.

Worked in the Imaging team responsible of the multimedia middleware and core software components for the video and audio playback, recording and streaming. My main focus on was on the video/audio playback software. At this time the old UI software layer was replaced with a new one from the recently acquired company the Smarterphone. Since the new SX based UI had its adaptation layer written in C++, our team created a new C++ multimedia middleware API to make the integration of the new and the old easier.

Working on the User Interface software as Design engineer from the January 1999 to the May 2006. At first I continued to work on the UI software testing but soon moved to the multimedia team and began writing the UI code using C language. After a while I got the main responsibility of the camera application and the software components related to it. Kept working mainly on the camera software through its iterations until the UI work was relocated to another site. During that time I worked in close co-operation with the user interface and interaction designers that were responsible of the camera and other multimedia application designs.Working on the Core software as a Design engineer from the May 2006 to the April 2007 and Senior Design engineer from the April 2007 until the end of 2012. My new responsibilities on the middleware were mostly on the video recording related software and their interface to the UI software. There was also an interesting deviation from the video work when our components were also used for the VoIP call audio and we had bunch of new audio codecs to take into use. Later my work changed to be more on the video playback related software, e.g. we added the AVI playback support. Also here an interesting side project emerged with the touch displays when the video player UI was created using the Adobe Flash. The main work on the UI was sub-contracted, but I was also involved mainly as technical support for the UI designer. At some point I ended up using the Adobe Flash studio to create an example code for the sub-contractor how to implement the video progress bar that can be dragged with finger to fast-forward / rewind the video. During that time I also participated as a UI responsible in couple cancelled projects related to the mobile TV and digital radio.

Summer trainee / Thesis worker from the May 1998 to the end of 1999. As a trainee I worked on the phone UI testing and the test case creation. During that year I completed my thesis, which was a study to determine if a certain testing software could be used to test our UI.
