I am a digital journalist and a communications specialist with excellent skills in strategic communications, video production, digital marketing & communications, social media management, content management, creative writing and leadership. I am also a creative graphic designer and video editor with experience in using design software to develop a wide range of communication materials. I have proficiency in using the Adobe Creative Cloud with particular attention to Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom. I have working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Canva and Wondershare Filmora.I am familiar with Hootsuite and Sprinklr as social media management tools and I have experience in using WordPress, SharePoint and Craft CMS for content management. I exemplify great written and oral communication skills, and I have excellent networking, interpersonal and presentation skills. I also possess skills in photography and videography. I have over 6 years of experience in media and communications drawn from my work in financial services, non-profits and in education. I am currently working as a Creative Designer and Communications Associate at Britam Holdings, primarily supporting multimedia internal communications for all our offices in 7 countries across Africa. I previously worked as a Corporate Communications Officer at GTBank Kenya and a Communication Officer at African Enterprise International, a global NGO with offices in 15 countries. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Digital Journalism at the Aga Khan University as a way of retooling, upskilling & learning to match the current demands in multimedia content development.
