Kim Lane is the COO of Right to Start, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization fighting to expand entrepreneurial opportunity for all. She serves as a Senior Advisor for the Global Entrepreneurship Network, where she supports startup communities globally. She worked in strategy and operations at Facebook, where she scaled a program to upskill college students and match them with jobs at innovative companies, preventing brain drain in local communities across the US; and she spent a decade working with the Kauffman Foundation to build and scale its entrepreneurship support program, 1 Million Cups. She won several awards for her work in Arkansas (including Arkansan of the Year, 40 Under 40, and Young Business Leader of the Year), where she was the founding CEO of the Conductor, an organization that supports rural and underserved entrepreneurs in the state, and she co-launched the state’s first-ever industry-based accelerator for startups in the healthcare space. She is a board member of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, and served as a governor-appointed commissioner to the Arkansas Women’s Commission in 2023.
