Responsible for sales of all ‘stock lots’ that came available from our 14 factories located in Sri Lanka. Total sales volume, $4.5 million. Sales to all major discounters as well as Jobbers. Initiated a Boys clothing line called “Weathered Wear” to be sold to better department stores, specialty stores, as well as high-end tiered discounters. Ten independent Sales Representatives were hired throughout the United States. Personally sold volume of $1.3 million in first year.

Managed 20 independent sales representatives across the United States with total volume of $30 million in sales for Hartstrings, Kitestrings, and Infants & Newborn divisions. Maximized Newborn sales opportunity by hiring eight additional sales representatives and increased sales in one season from $670,000 to $1.4 million. Traveled extensively to major markets to work directly with sales representatives and their customers to ensure a proper balance of Hartstrings merchandise in their stores, as well as maintained strong retail partnerships with buyer/store level personnel. Worked extensively with Hartstrings Design/Merchandising team to communicate key information from sales representatives and Specialty Store customers to have the proper balance of merchandise by region.

Opened new accounts with major department stores, specialty stores and chains including Bealls (Florida), Peebles Department Store, Van Heusen Outlets, AAFES, and opened 70+ specialty stores with total sales volume of $1.5 million in the first year. Analyzed and put forward suggestions to individual stores to effectively maximize sales potential of product line by month and plan merchandising buy accordingly. Traveled to MAGIC, Southern Clothing Market, Charlotte, NC, the Northwest Buyers Show, and Minneapolis, MN, as well as attended the New York Collective Show, twice yearly. Updated weekly inventory status on current line as well as previous season.
