In my work, I created and led programs to sustain and improve coordination among key campus partners, extended to include Title IX and Compliance, Safety and Security, and Athletics, among others.I led the campus' response to campus-wide and individual student emergencies with nuance and attentiveness to the needs of students, faculty, staff, families, and the local, state, and national communities. Large scale challenges included public health issues and bias incidents that became large community-wide conversations. Smaller challenges included working with individual students or families around complex medical issues, including leaves of absence.I oversaw the campus conduct system, including the lower level infractions addressed by deans administratively, and more serious allegations of misconduct heard by our Judicial Board. I gained incredible insights over the current challenges facing conduct officers, particularly around designing effective and inclusive procedures, and in addressing current challenges regarding academic integrity cases. In the absence of a Dean of Student Life for much of my tenure, I became a principal advisor to the Dean of the College, the House Faculty Deans, the House resident deans, among other key leaders within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.I served as a key administrative liaison to the House Renewal initiative, focusing my energies on the first four projects: Quincy House, Leverett House, Dunster House, and the creation of a "swing house" at the former Inn at Harvard.I also received a remarkable set of training experiences in campus emergencies; during my time at Harvard we experienced the Boston Marathon bombing and lockdown of Cambridge days later, Hurricane Sandy, a severe blizzard, and several substantive power outages affecting the entire undergraduate population.
