About Kim Pajot Nurmi

After 4 years of wearing many hats as the Marketing and Advertising Manager for the Granville Arts Center as well as the Manager of the Plaza Theatre in Downtown Garland I was promoted to Heritage Crossing Manager where I am enjoying researching and producing special museum exhibits as well as accessioning and organizing the contents of the Landmark Museum while maintaining relationships with Downtown business owners. I also manage the staff and volunteers, train new team members, manage the budget, and develop and execute programs and events.I am very motivated with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to organize and delegate with ease. I have traveled many countries of the world and have over eight years of travel industry experience and avid knowledge and interest in all forms of Fine Arts.I received my B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in Architecture. While in school, I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.My strongest asset is my ability to create and execute a well organized, creative plan. I am skilled in communicating clearly and conversing effectively with persons of divergent social, cultural and educational backgrounds. Personally, my most celebrated passions are travel and quilting. I have an interest in always being 'in the know' of what is going on around me and joining in on the fun! I am a very social person and also enjoy reading and crafting with fervor. I currently volunteer with several Garland organizations and enjoy meeting people from the town that I currently reside, as well as with residents from other places. I am a people person with many years in both the marketing and customer service fields and my passion for perfection is contagious.
