A Licensed Professional Engineer with thirty four years of engineering experience. As President and CEO of Van Boerum & Frank Associates, Mr. Harris is a recognized authority in the design of complicated HVAC systems for commercial projects including healthcare, education, recreation, housing and government. Some of Utah’s most noteworthy projects have been designed under Kim’s direction, including the Matheson Courthouse, Primary Children’s Medical Center, the Salt Palace, and the new Intermountain Medical Center. Kim is known as an effective leader, for his efficient designs, and for excellence in customer service. Kim is Past Chairman of the Board for the Utah State Professional Engineers Licensing and Surveyors Board and is involved with other professional organizations, including: the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Building Owners & Management Association (BOMA), and the Salt Lake Rotary Club. Each organization benefits from Kim’s service and leadership contributions. Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of Utah’s respected College of Engineering. He is a U of U sports fan, and an avid golfer.
