About Kim Quax

Hey! I’m Kim, a junior back-end developer from Beverwijk. I graduated in June 2023, and as a beginning software developer focused on back-end development, I really enjoy coding and solving problems.During my studies, I explored several programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML (yes, I know it's not officially a programming language), and MySQL. I’ve also gained experience with various technologies, including jQuery, JSON, Docker, Git, Jira, Symfony, Laravel, and dabbled in frameworks like Bootstrap. With these tools, I can build solid and efficient solutions that meet modern requirements of the modern digital world.Currently, I work as a junior back-end developer at Grip Online in Wassenaar, a digital agency that helps companies with online growth. We do a lot with web development, UX design, and marketing. In my role, I primarily support the technical side of projects, continuing to develop my skills as a junior developer and learning how I can contribute to digital solutions for our clients. In this process, I use various technologies, including Git (GitHub) for version control, and I work daily with PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL to ensure robust and efficient data infrastructure. I mostly work with REST APIs using JSON.Life has thrown its fair share of challenges at me, but they've only made me stronger and more resilient. Every setback has given me an opportunity for personal growth, instilling in me an unwavering determination and perseverance. I genuinely believe that persistence is the key to success. I even passed for my exam to get my driver's license recently (10-10-24), which will make me even more flexible to fulfill my goals!Although I now use a wheelchair, it has never stood in the way of my passion for programming and my drive for proficiency. In fact, it has given me a unique perspective and deepened my awareness of the importance of accessibility and inclusive design principles in my work.

Contact Tracing Corona (Ggd)

Amsterdam

I had the important responsibility of conducting source and contact investigations for individuals who tested positive for COVID-19. My role involved reporting their test results and diligently determining their whereabouts during their contagious period. I also worked closely with them to identify potential sources of infection. Together, we determined the timeline and calculated the necessary isolation period for the patient and, if applicable, their household members.Once the call was completed, my next task was to reach out and inform the relevant individuals, businesses, and organizations that had come into contact with my patient. This could be quite a demanding task, especially when dealing with individuals who had numerous contacts. Throughout the process, I seamlessly navigated between different programs to document and complete all the necessary information. To ensure I was equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, I actively participated in courses and e-learnings, which helped me stay up-to-date in this ever-evolving field. This continuous learning allowed me to perform my role effectively and provide accurate information to those involved. This was sometimes quite a big task, some people have many contacts. During this process, I switched between different programs to record and complete everything. In the meantime, my knowledge was kept up-to-date with courses and e-learnings.

I helped them to get started and they could come to me with questions.I also did the vaccination line, I made the appointments for the vaccinations against corona. I worked on these lines:- Regular (in the beginning these were the most vulnerable target groups and then this passed on to age)- Healthcare workers and teachers- 8 Expert lines (these were exceptional cases that were outside the other lines and were more complex. These were 8 different scripts with 8 different audiences)- Chronically ill people- Outbound (this was a special line for errors in our system and needed a correction)- Citizens without a social security number (homeless people or refugees)
