Monitored approximately $120 million in government grants for compliance reporting, and developed almost $34 million in successfully funded grant applications for the Tribal government during the last two and a half years. Introduced standardized electronic filing for contract materials, and instituted a software-based grants management system for tracking grant performance and reporting. Organized day-long retreat for the Finance, Program and Grants and Contracts Departments to review and solve challenges within the grant application and reporting process and rewrote the Tribal Grants and Contracts Manual accordingly.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Created and implemented three-year Development Plan for expanding the agency’s major gift fundraising capacity from institutions and individuals. Increased grants from foundations and corporations by 380 percent in the first year. Instituted new prospect research, submission tracking and filing system for institutional giving. Cleaned, configured and developed entry protocol for new donor database. Directed complete redesign of the agency’s website for mobile responsiveness to increase online donations and volunteer recruitment. Initiated new acquisition mailing for recruitment of new individual donors. Established new board manual, donor visitation protocols, stewardship guidelines and donor tracking documents for new major giving cultivation and solicitation.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Directed all program planning, course development, fiscal management, outreach and fundraising activities for the agency’s two centers that served more than 2,000 seniors annually. Managed the activities of the Board and recruited four new board members. Implemented a new fundraising committee among the membership that conducted two small fundraisers in the first year. Supervised the creation of new TV and radio public service announcements to expand volunteer recruitment for Intergenerational Tutoring and CATCH Healthy Habits Programs.

Los Angeles, California, United States

Implemented the creation of the Fund Development Department for the Society, including the development and configuration of a new Raiser’s Edge database for the tracking of the Society’s 1,800 volunteers and new donor prospects. Directed the complete redesign of the Society’s logo, brochures, newsletter, website and foundation proposals, as well as the initiation of a new direct mail campaign that has already brought in more than 1,000 new donors to the agency. Facilitated a strategic planning process among the Society’s Board and Staff to chart the organization’s program growth for the next five years.

Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

Created and implemented a three year development capacity building project that in the first year raised foundation giving by 68 percent and individual giving by 58 percent, increasing the overall private dollars for the Center from $350,000 the previous year to more than $1 million.

Produced and implemented yearly plans for all corporate and foundation fundraising at the College's Chalon and Doheny campuses, including: working with senior management and faculty on capital and program fundraising strategies; cultivating and soliciting gifts from corporate and foundation donors; and providing briefings and strategy support to the President concerning the solicitation of major foundation, corporate and individual gifts, raising more than $4 million for program and capital projects.

Developed and performed multi-year fundraising plans for The ACCESS Center (a 6-12 Math & Science Outreach Program) and the College of Education, including: generating fundraising and program development strategies; cultivating and soliciting major gifts from individual prospects; and providing support to the Executive Director and the Dean of these two institutions within the University. These activities raised more than $4.5 million in foundation and government grants.
