Led a 120 person UX team designing internal platforms that unlock the strategic value of data. Our work helps our associates to use data securely and safely, make better decisions for our customers, and put their AI solutions in market faster. I partnered with senior leadership across Enterprise Data, Enterprise Machine Learning (ML), Enterprise Tech, Finance, Risk Management, Audit, and HR to develop strategies for their product portfolios. I oversaw the design of a portfolio of over 35 platforms and programs.As an executive responsible for our Enterprise Data Strategy, I helped ensure that our associates could easily manage their data in a reliable way. Through our ecosystem of data, tech, and ML platforms and products, we design simplified experiences for our thousands of data users at Capital One. We helped make risk management easy so that our associates can get back to their most creative work.Established our Responsible AI program and lead our Data Privacy design team. Ensured that our two most critical technologies were well-managed and used in ethical ways.

Founded and led the design team focused on our Enterprise Machine Learning portfolio. Partnered to establish our Enterprise ML Platform and Enterprise Feature Platform. These two platforms enable data scientists to leverage our cloud data platforms and bring models to deployment in a consistent and managed way. Established a Computational Behavioral Science practice which provided analysis on special projects such as customer impacts from natural disasters, financial abuse of vulnerable populations, and preventing scams.

Led a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and data visualization specialists who engaged with partners across the company to deliver unique data-based initiatives. Designed and developed Capital One's University of Maryland Tech Incubator interactive wall which enables the Data Science students to utilize state of the art GPUs to display rich ML-driven visualizations. Delivered a portfolio of physical installations and data visualizations for our center of excellence for ML.

Periscopic is a socially-conscious data visualization firm helping companies and organizations promote information transparency and public awareness by telling their data stories.In my role as Head of Visualization, I transformed data into a conceptual design. By looking at the data from different angles, determined the best visual representation to unleash insights or allow for exploration. Worked with a cross-functional team to bring concepts to life visually and interactively.Delivered interactive visualizations and websites for clients such as Novartis, NBC News, Twitter, Google, Yahoo!, and others.

Programmer and Strategist on projects ranging from web development, e-commerce, and hardware installations. Translated client needs into feature specifications leading to gratifying experiences. Used C++, Java, PHP, MySQL, Postgres, SQL, ActionScript, and JS among others to build games, websites, museum kiosks, and backend systems for clients such as Chipotle, Warner Bros, PBS, and the EMP Museum.

Developed a series of multiplayer internet games for MSN. Also programmed an animation tool, much like the Flash environment, to enable very highly compressed animations for the games. Everything was developed in C++.

Developed the world’s first multiplayer moviegame system for the big screen. The system allowed people to play “choose your own adventure” style movies in movie theaters. Programmed hardware interfaces for laserdisc players, LEDs, A/V switchers, and custom hardware. Pushed the boundaries of Visual Basic and RS-232. Created the only way you can play Pong at the cinema against a hundred other people.

Developed internal software to support the national sales team. Built a CRM tool, an anonymous email system, and contributed to enterprise software using Visual Basic and C++.
