In March 2020, I was inspired to reread “Sabbath, Finding Rest, Renewal, and Delight In Our Busy Lives” by Wayne Muller. This time, the book transformed me, revealing the life-changing message I had missed before. I realized that all life requires a Rhythm of Rest. Our hearts and lungs naturally rest between actions, but I had lost this rhythm due to my overwhelming desire to succeed. For over 25 years, I believed relentless work was necessary to accomplish tasks, receive blessings, and please God. This belief led to constant exhaustion and a life devoid of peace and pleasure.Wayne Muller famously noted that our lack of rest affects how we build community, respond to suffering, and seek peace. My problem-solving was frantic and reactive, lacking the essential nutrients of rest, wisdom, and delight. Implementing the Ancient Biblical Principle of Sabbath changed my life. Sabbath became a revolutionary tool for cultivating human qualities that grow only in time. It allowed me to invite healing, operating from a survival mode to a place of inner peace. Through Sabbath, I found my true Self and God’s presence, realizing my purpose was greater than me.Muller emphasized that Sabbath is not just a lifestyle suggestion but an Ancient Biblical Principle found in many spiritual traditions. In rest, I became conscious of mindfulness and deep awareness. Acting from a place of deeper breath allowed me to cultivate right understanding, action, and effort. This realization empowered me to help faith-driven women unlock ancient biblical wisdom to build generational wealth and achieve true freedom. When my sister passed without a will, I realized the importance of creating wealth as a spiritual pursuit, understanding biblical principles as a roadmap to abundance and prosperity.I created "For the REST of Your Life," an online coaching program to teach women of faith the necessity of Sabbath. Sacred rest is more than the absence of work; it's a time to let God care for things while you drink from the fountain of rest and delight. It's the presence of something deeply nourishing or true. I help busy women of faith create time to honor the forces of grace and spirit that sustain, heal, and amplify them. Finding Sabbath means balancing rest and work, amplifying your God-given gifts and talents, bringing peace, healing, and delight to all your endeavors.
