About Kim Rush Lynch

For over 25 years, Kim has been under the influence of food, from field to fork. Through this addiction, she has cultivated a variety of careers in the food system including production agriculture, nutrition and food education, farmers market management, agricultural marketing, food and farm policy advocacy, and soil and water conservation. Currently, Kim is the Urban Agricultural Conservation Planner for the Prince George’s Soil Conservation District where she manages the Urban Ag Conservation program and assists urban farmers with designing and implementing Best Management Practices to improve soil health and water quality. She co-chairs the Prince George’s County Public School’s Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Advisory Committee and is a member of the Prince George’s County Food Equity Council and Food Security Task Force. Kim holds professional certifications with the American Association of Nutritional Consultants, the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professionals program, and the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Kim has shared her time and expertise with organizations such as the University of Maryland Extension, Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission, Washington Youth Garden at the U.S. National Arboretum, Greenbelt Farmers Market, and numerous corporations and non-profits through her former health consulting business, Cultivating Heath. When she's not thinking about food, you can find Kim in her garden, at her local farmers market, roller skating, or trying to keep up with her daughter, McKenna.
