Lead Steering Committee of a skatepark in South Park, Seattle. Liaison between Sea Mar Community Health Center, Grindline and the community. Assisted in successful grant writing and researching, fundraising, and promoting. Collaborate with other park advocates and supporters to raise awareness of Seattle's Citywide SkatePark Plan. Communicate with donors, community partners and city officials. Plan events with community organizations and partners. Reach out to other groups to help advise on howto improve and activate public spaces. Communicate with local skate shops to organize and promote events.

Across The Bridge is an innovative program designed to empower youth participants by providing safe access, insight and guidance to the many opportunities within the Film and Music community in Seattle. Youth participants journey across the West Seattle Bridge to our network of studios to have meaningful conversations with producers, directors, musicians and other artists to support each other, develop their voices and share the communities’ stories.As Founder and Producer, I spearheaded the development and funding of this mentoring program and served as the Project Lead. We just wrapped our pilot program and we hope to continue it's success into 2015. ATB was funded by the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative as a community matching grant, where we surpassed the required match by close to 20%. We did so much on a relatively small budget and we rallied tons of community support. We can help reduce violence, save money and build a healthy community with mentoring programs like Across the Bridge.

I love being close to the camera, working with talent and crew, helping the Director, working with Clients and keeping the communication open. Some of our recent clients are CSG, Fluke, Allied Systems (all through Hodgson/Meyers, and Swedish Physicians, Perkins Coie and Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center.We are a small, quick and efficient team that creates great videos!

Dennis brought me on to produce a still photo shoot with Nintendo. We had a casting call with 100s of teenagers and ended up finding 8 girls for a one day shoot to create images for a new DS game for in-game use, packaging, point of sale and advertising.

I joined the CRPE and their Portfolio Network Members from across the country in LA for their latest meeting with the LA Unified School District. I helped them document this 2 day meeting and we'll be exploring different ways to share the incredible work that each member brings to the table.

In order to have a great skatepark, you need great programming within that park. Skate Like a Girl provides that. Not only do they teach girls of all ages to skate, but they also encourage and help older skaters to Coach. They also have become the Go To organization for anything skateboarding here in Seattle. I help where I can, trying to promote and connect the people and programs in order to build a healthy community!

The Chair of the committee had asked me to be involved- to help with ideas and the big picture. I gravitated towards the music component of the Arts program. She founded the Great Composers program which I helped tweak to be more culturally relevant...It inspired me to continue to develop a program based off of Lucy Calkin's Writing and Reading philosophy. To teach kids how to make their own music. To bring out the musician in them. I wondered why there weren't more skate parks in Seattle and decided to get involved. I was on the committee board and had meetings with the City's Parks and Rec department, gave input on multiple projects throughout the city, consulted with other skate park advocacy groups, and attended multiple events on behalf of folks who want more free and public skate parks.
