Regional Member Communities (RMC) are envisioned as the community-based, in-person groups of Living Future Institute members. RMCs provide an opportunity for individuals to come together for informal learning experiences and to advance community transformation. RMC participants’ activities support creation of the local conditions that allow for development of Living Buildings, Sites and Neighborhoods. RMC virtual events are held at least quarterly throughout the year, and are typically organized as meetings that address topics relevant to Living Building Challenge and foster an opportunity for dialogue.

The US Green Building Council Tennessee Market Leadership Advisory Board represents a diversity of locally based leaders who advise on strategic and tactical activities implemented as part of USGBC’s global work plan. This leadership group works collaboratively within a larger network of Market Leadership Advisory Boards in order to develop and implement integrative, consistent, and effective local work plans in all strategic markets. This structure further reports local metrics that contribute to the global success of the USGBC community.

Standard Project Committee 209 is charged with developing an ASHRAE Standard for building energy modeling/simulation of commercial and institutional buildings. Kim serves as a user-interest voting member of the SPC, and is a member of the Master Planning and Predesign Subcommittee.

NashvilleNext is a two-year process to update Nashville's General Plan, an integrated effort to ensure our prostperity and well-being for the next 25 years, drawing on the needs, ideas and input of people who care about Nashville. The Natural Resources & Hazard Adaptation Resources Team is charged with first, identifying driving forces that are shaping Nashvilles, future; second, developing two to four plausible scenarios based on the public's vision for Nashville's future; and third, creating a preferred scenario and action plan based on the public's review of the alternative scenarios.The Natural Resources & Hazard Adaptation REsource Team is working in concert with and parallel to othe Resource Teams for arts and culture, education and youth, economic and workforce development, housing, livable and healthy communities, public safety and land use, transportation and infrastructure.

Space types covered include cafeterias and kitchens; conference and office areas; reception and waiting areas; examination and treatment rooms; clean and soiled workrooms; nurse stations; nurseries and patient rooms; operating, procedure and recovery rooms; sterilizer equipment areas; pharmacies and laboratories; triage, trauma, and emergency rooms; physical therapy and radiology/imaging rooms; storage, receiving, and mechanical/electrical/telecom rooms. This Guide does not directly address other, atypical or special-use spaces.
