Head Teaching Fellow for undergraduate course in Environmental Science and Public Policy. Course was structured around six case studies that examined the challenge-response cycles experienced in each of these six river basins. Responsibilities included coordinating course logistics with the other teaching fellows, managing the course website, planning and leading weekly tutorials, holding office hours and grading homework assignments which were in the form of short policy memos.

The Netherlands

Work alongside an established project team, VONK, who are creating a conceptual framework describing how to systematically and efficiently conduct the large upcoming replacement task of ageing flood management structures in the Netherlands. My role specifically is to use the output of VONK as a starting point for a Real Options analysis to quantify the value of flexibility in different possible replacement strategies. Specific case study being examined: replacement of the IJmuiden pumping station and sluice complex on the North Sea Canal.
