Managed a national sales team responsible for promoting Embanet's full-service eLearning services to colleges and universities throughout North America, successfully introducing over 10 higher education institutions to Embanet.

Led various business development initiatives and worked with Battelle Organization to bring next-generation technology to market to mitigate acid-mine drainage damage and improve water quality

Developed and implemented the organization's strategic business plan and realigned staff to address customer needs more effectively. I directed a fast growing enterprise with a budget of $40 million (an increase of 73% over three years) and 56 employees.I worked with a talented team to manage mission-critical initiatives, including: building the Keystone University Network, the PA State System of Higher Education's virtual university; promoting community and economic development programs leveraging State System resources; directing the policy and research center; and securing grants in excess of $25.5 million.

I had the distinct privilege to work with and manage approximately 125 of the very best public servants who were dedicated to serving Pennsylvania's cities, boroughs, townships and Bloomsburg, the state's only incorporated town. Together we managed millions of state and federal funds to promote community development, urban and rural renewal, affordable housing, government effectiveness, smart-growth, non-profit development, and innovative tax credit programs. Even though I left state government in 2001, I have never lost the feeling of admiration for all those who worked with me.

As the first Executive Director of the Governor's Center for Local Government Services, I led a distinctive group of dedicated public servants who as senior managers were committed to serving the Commonwealth's local government officials. With the support of Governor Tom Ridge and Lieutenant Governor Mark Schweiker, we created a "Super Agency" within state government. We managed millions of dollars to support land-use, leadership training, assisted distressed municipalities, lead the efforts and supported PA's innovative land use legislation, developed and implemented the Commonwealth's Census 2000 Strategy that became a model for other states to use, and promoted Council of Governments to improve efficiency and collaboration between local government officials.
