TRIUMF is Canada’s national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics. Reporting to the Board of Directors, I have the overall strategic and operational responsibility for EPS, an alliance of independent living, assisted living and long-term care facilities, representing approx 10,000 beds across Canada. My primary responsibilities include:- Pursue cost-effective procurement contracts for members through combined purchasing power.- Lead and negotiate all aspects of planning, growth, implementation and evaluation of the organization's partnership programs.- Participate with the Board in developing strategic plans, and advise the Board on all aspects of EPS functions.- Provide ongoing strategic and operational support for all members.- Maintain a comprehensive budget and ensure sound financial operations of the organization.

- Business Owner of Bamboo, Cork and Recycled Rubber Flooring Categories.- Responsible for the category P&L, including financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting.- Onboard and cultivate supplier relationships, ensure long-term profitability for the partner and BuildDirect.- Negotiate all relevant procurement contracts and implement procurement strategies.- Research industry trends, identify new product opportunities, and adjust category assortment.- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.- Support the BuildDirect Home Marketplace by introducing new Sellers to BuildDirect and launch relevant products.

- Champion and Product Manager of the Bamboo and Cork Flooring categories.- Plan and execute category strategies including product selection, assortment planning, strategic sourcing, and pricing. - Manage vendor negotiations and supply agreements.- Cultivate existing and build new relationships with suppliers domestically and internationally.- Deliver financial targets for the green flooring categories.

- Fostered effective working relationships with suppliers, provoked product innovation, and ensured timely product delivery to 760 stores nationally.- Responsible for full category financial planning, including contract negotiation, price setting and margin contribution to the business.- Led internal and external stakeholders in brand merchandising and promotional initiatives, including packaging design, product roll-out, and in-store consumer communications.- Reconstructed 90% of all products in the category, reducing over-engineered materials by up to 25% while maintaining complete product integrity.- Led a team of consultants & a cross-functional team that implemented a Sustainability Dashboard, enabling restaurant operators to track and report energy consumption and Greenhouse Gas emissions.- Led the input cost savings corporate initiative as measured by a ten-member cross-functional team implementing $1 million cost savings per year.
