Ari-Ahec Center Director At The University Of Akron
CurrentAkron-Region Interprofessional Area Health Education Center (ARI-AHEC) is an educational, community based pipeline and professional development programs in collaboration with many community partners focusing on the core areas of interprofessional education, behavioral health integration, social determinants of health, cultural competency, practice transformation and emerging health issues through programming for young adults and health professionals. ARI-AHEC programs include AHEC Scholars, community based experiential training initiatives, health careers pipeline programs such as MedCamp for students in high school, undergraduate, and master degree programs, and continuing/professional education. As the center director, my responsibilities include the management and coordination of all center operations including grant management, program management, budgeting, marketing, recruitment, educational initiatives, and community collaborations. The Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health Program (CEOMPH) is a collaboration of Cleveland State University, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), The University of Akron, and Youngstown State University. My role as the program coordinator for UA involves the marketing, recruitment, admissions, coordination, and management of the program for UA through the College of Health and Human Sciences.
