I am a Wellcome Trust funded Biochemistry PhD Candidate interested in Dementia. I study the interplay between the endolysosomal network and neurodegeneration, supervised by Prof Pete Cullen at the University of Bristol. My academic research has developed skills in data analysis, complex problem solving, and strategic thinking - competencies I am eager to leverage beyond academia.Outside the laboratory, I have continued interest in business and science communication. I have a year’s experience in business transformation and pharmaceutical marketing at MSD UK. I am currently deepening my expertise in marketing as a Field Marketing Representative for Proteintech Group. My co-founding and hosting of 'The Science Tapes' podcast reflects my commitment to science communication, translating complex ideas into accessible information for diverse audiences.Away from work, I have developed my ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments. This is evident in my eight-year tenure with the University of Bristol Men’s Hockey 1st XI, where I have held roles including 1st XI Captain and Club Captain, earning the prestigious University of Bristol Sport RED Award. These experiences have honed my ability to lead teams and make strategic decisions under pressure. After graduation, I am passionate about applying this blend of scientific rigour, business acumen, and leadership outside of academia.
