• Control and responsibility for all financial aspects of a R&D Oil and Gas company• Compile and analyse financial information in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts including the variance analysis, accounts commentary and divisional reporting & Management Accounts• Assist in the preparation of consolidated group accounting and reporting• Preparation and control of balance sheet account reconciliations• Preparation of monthly flash reporting, cash forecasts and other ad hoc reporting as required• Manage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met (preparing Monthly Management Accounts, Year End Accounts, R&D)• Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded• Reconciles the intercompany charges and current accounts• Preparation of information to ensure compliance with UK statutory tax and other regulatory requirements including corporation vat, PAYE/NIC, P11D’s• Other general finance duties such as, and not limited to, cash posting & bank reconciliation, uploading of sales invoices to customer portals, AP payment runs & fixed asset register

• Preparation of month end files for UK Finance Product• Preparation of monthly close of the general ledger• Processing of standard monthly journal entries, review and rationalisation of trial balance, reconciliation of key control accounts pre-close• Preparation and posting of standard monthly journal entries for revenue recognition, payroll• Maintenance of a monthly file of balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity at all times. accruals, prepayments and misc. adjustments.• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and maintaining supporting VAT information• Ensuring all month end activities are completed within prescribed reporting deadlines• Maintain P&L and BS accounts for responsible legal entities• Prepare monthly management accounts• Support the External Accounting Company in preparing statutory accounts for UK legal entities• Assist with the preparation and submission of Corporation Tax returns• Experience of Corporate Systems like Sage 50 Accounts, FreeAgent, Microsoft Office, Excel,
