With over a decade of diverse professional experience, my journey has been marked by a steadfast commitment to strategic communications, government relations as well as high-level project management and implementation. I am currently serving as the Acting General Manager for the Agribusiness Division at the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Economy, Malaysia. As part of our mission to accelerate the East Coast region's economic growth, we implement strategic and high-impact projects as catalysts for the transformation of the national agricultural landscape through innovative strategies, guided by the values of sustainable development and close stakeholder engagement as well as collaboration across public and private sectors. Tasked with managing diverse perspectives and interests of all stakeholders, we are responsible for navigating all levels of project complexities to ensure we achieve the socio-economic development objectives of these projects. My role involves managing the respective projects' technical and management committees, ensuring Key Performance Indicators and contractual obligations are met, and steering collaborations with federal and state governments' ministries, departments and agencies, as well as Anchor Companies. My background in strategic communications and corporate affairs has also been essential in establishing effective internal and external communication channels as well as close stakeholder management, leveraging my prior experience in the government and public relations to enhance the organisation's impact and visibility.
