On the swaps desk I primarily worked with hedge funds and activist investors looking to build large anonymous equity positions. Negotiation of term sheets and successful execution required matching UBS’ balance sheet objectives, clients’ needs, and a facility with multiple products, including equity swaps, custom baskets, equity derivatives, equity options and stock loan. In 2015 I was awarded the UBS Culture Award for upholding and representing the ideal UBS philosophy and work ethic.

In my first year at UBS, I was responsible for trading equity baskets for index and quantitative funds. Our main focus surrounded index re-balancing; I helped forecast new index additions and deletions by analyzing company and market cap changes YoY. As a new joiner I took on the responsibility for compiling market data and writing our daily market report which was sent to all portfolio trading clients.

Cross-functional 10-week program spanning credit, foreign exchange, cash trading, prime brokerage, international sales, derivatives, stock loan and swaps. At the end of the summer I was one of 14 interns (out of 40+) who received full time offer post college.
