As a Senior at Westlake High School, I hope to gain education and life experience so that I can make an educated decision on what college and career path to take. To do so, I am taking internships at Harvest Elementary School and classes on professional teaching. I want to learn more about what the life of a teacher looks like and be present in that field of work. Someday I hope to inspire kids and teenagers with a love of learning and an enthusiastic outlook on hard work.On my path to understanding what type of career and education I want to pursue, I took multiple AP classes, two in history. These teachers not only taught me the facts and study skills necessary to pass the test but also ignited in me a love of learning. Their passion for their subject was palpable. I believe it is because of them, that I have such a strong desire to continue my future education in history, as well as education.Throughout my years in school, my teachers have taught, encouraged, and inspired me. Because of them, I want to be a teacher. As a future educator, I hope to learn and gain as much experience as possible now, in order to teach with the most passion as possible in the near future.
