I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Speech-Language Pathology Associates of South Carolina, specializing in treating individuals with brain injuries, post-surgery recovery, and neurological conditions. I also treat teens and adults with tongue tie, jaw clenching, teeth grinding, and other oral muscle function issues. I also operate Healing Helmets, a support group for Veterans and Service Members living with the persistent symptoms of traumatic brain injury.In 2021, I was honored with the Frank R. Kleffner Clinical Career Award from the South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association for my exceptional client outcomes. My engaging approach to therapy makes recovery enjoyable, earning me the title "everyone's favorite speech therapist." I’ve presented my methods at various conferences and continuing education events. In 2023, I opened my own business, Speech-Language Pathology Associates of South Carolina, and in 2024, we were voted as the Best of South Carolina-Regional Winner by our family, friends, and fans.I am licensed to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, allowing me to accept referrals and collaborate with healthcare providers across state lines. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.I have a working knowledge of Medicare Parts A, and extensive experience with Medicare Part B Outpatient Therapy Guidelines and I work with private insurances (BCBS, Aetna, CIGNA), and I am IN NETWORK with Tricare and can accept referrals directly from physicians. I have also worked in home health, acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapies.
