JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Within delegated authority levels and company guidelines, accepts, rejects, or modifies new commercial lines business to ensure profitability. Prices business according to company underwriting and pricing guidelines, and ensures standards for timelines are met. 2. Accurately evaluate risk exposures of the most complex nature. Underwrite new business, review apps., select business to quote and reject the business that is unacceptable, class and price according to guidelines.3. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Promptly and effectively handle to conclusion all assigned claims with little to no direction and oversight. Make decisions within delegated authority as outlined in company policies and procedures.2. Determine proper policy coverages and apply best claims practices to conclude assigned cases in accordance with company guidelines.3. Open, close and adjust reserves in accordance with company practices designed to ensure reserve adequacy. Recommend Special Reserves where necessary in accordance with Corporate Reserving Guidelines. Analyze commercial risk for all lines of business in accordance with established underwriting policies, practices and standards. Accept, reject, price and retain risks in accordance with policies, practices, and standards. Authorize the issuance of approved contracts and coverage.
