The position was sponsored by Kongsberg Maritime through a five year gift professorate in Human Factors and Cognitive Systems Engineering.

I´m currently Head of Research at the Department of Maritime Technology and Innovation, as well as Head of the research group in Maritime Human Factors. My main tasks is to ensure funding of current projects and future research, establishing research strategy to develop a multi-disciplinary maritime research department. I also lecture in the areas of human factors, research methods and academic writing as well as supervising students at Bachelors, Masters and PhD levels.

Working with issues related to human factors, human-machine interaction and safety culture. Contributes with quantitative and statistical analysis to support risk management processes.

Responsible for risk management and data analysis in NSB Drift Østland. Work areas involved writing reports on issues related to human factors, work psychology and statistical risk management, as well as being responsible for monthly reports on work environment and health.

This was a short term position to help AIBN implementing job descriptions in their new management system. My work was related to interviewing emplyees at AIBN and writing job descriptions and procedures related to AIBN's administrative processes.

My research project was related to the modelling of human-machine interaction during high speed craft navigation in confined waters. I defended my PhD-thesis "Human co-agency with technical systems: investigations of modelling frameworks" in November 2008.
