Subject matter expert on UAV flight control systems.Co-inventor of the SkyHook recovery system.Invented a unique check valve based oiling system for the Aerosonde four stoke engine. This system was used on the Aersonde that flew across the Atlantic Ocean in 1998.Invented a unique fuel tank system which automatically controls CG and slosh. Invented a servo arm that eliminates the need to calibrate a servo. Invented a "Cable and hook" variation of the SkyHook system that concentrates the load at the CG of the airframe, rather than the wings. The airframe then hangs wings level so that it is stable post capture.Invented a snap in servo mounting system that simplifies installation and ensures the servos are always in the right place.As Insitu's sole member of the propulsion department for 12 years, I built all the prototype engines through 5 engine development programs. On the production line I built, from core to mapped and delivered, over 300 engines/ modules. I built and test piloted each prototype airplane through all 5 prototype programs at Insitu.

First employee hired to work at Insitu. .My name is on 9 US patents (4 as sole inventor) and 13 associated international patents.Have built and manually flown every prototype aircraft at Insitu.
