YETI builds over engineered products for the wild, with hard coolers, soft coolers and drinkware being some of their initial categories.As the IT leader, I oversaw a complete technology overhaul as the company grew from $160M to $900M and a successful IPO. This IT success was due to the outstanding team that was built, and the fantastic work they accomplished.

Steak n Shake is a classic American restaurant brand. With over 500 restaurants, technology is used to create the most efficient restaurant chain in the world. International growth was a strong focus, including openings in Dubai, Ibiza, Cannes, Kuwait City and Marseilles during this period, with many other international locations under construction.

Rackspace is a leader in the server hosting and cloud computing industry. This high tech, high growth, zero-downtime organization has a passion for the latest technologies, services and innovations. During this period, Rackspace grew from $350M to $800M annually, while doubling employment to over 4,000. My responsibilities encompassed all aspects of internal IT systems for an organization of 200 and a budget of $40M. Accomplishments include implementing Salesforce.com, development of proprietary call center management systems, implementing controls for a successful IPO, enhancing enterprise security, and creating unique business analytics that provided and industry competitive advantage.

Golfsmith is the leader in customized golf clubs, and golf retailing. An international omni-channel retailer, Golfsmith equally focused on store, catalog and online growth. During this period, Golfsmith grew from $218M to $388M annually, and opened 51 stores (74 total stores in 2007) and issued their IPO. My responsibilities included all aspects of internal IT systems for an organization of 20 and a budget of $5M, upgrading and enhancing our Oracle ERP systems, building custom POS and Merchandise Management system, integrating our call center management systems, and developing a world class eCommerce platform with in-store pick, online ordering, reviews, ratings and advanced marketing analytics.

Office Depot was the leader in office supply retailing. A omni-channel retailer, Office Depot's store, catalog and eCommerce operated both business (B2B) and consumer (B2C) operations. A $11B retailer with the second largest eCommerce business in the world ($2B in 2002 sales, second only to Amazon). My responsibilities included all Merchandising systems, Sales systems, and IT Architecture with an organization of 75 and a budget of $25M. During my tenure, I deployed an omni-channel data warehouse, new merchandise replenishment, Salesforce automation and advanced Market Basket Analysis.

Alcoa is the leader in the mining, refining, smelting and fabrication of Aluminum. A $10B global enterprise, with facilities in 130 locations and 35 countries. Responsibilities were the establishment and implementation of a global windows server and desktop architecture, with a goal of reduced operational expense in office, back office and manufacturing computing. To accomplish this, I designed and launched the Alcoa Global Architecture Strategy Council, which is still in operation today.

Kmart was the largest retailer in the world during my tenure, surpassing $35B in sales, with over 2,500 retail stores in 12 countries. My responsibilities were to manage all local and wide-area networks, and manage all networked applications including check/credit authorization, pharmacy adjudication, layaway, receiving, POS and back office systems. R. L. Polk is a privately held direct marketing company. Polk compiles dozens of subscriber lists to provide mail list enhancements, address standardization, mailing optimization and change of address services. My responsibilities were to design and develop Polk software solutions.
