In my current position at The Master Teacher, I have many duties, some of which include reviewing work from authors, copy editing content, building scripts, and creating courses in a video-generating platform.Before a course goes in to the video-making process, I copy edit and proofread the course and supplemental materials, including handouts and posttests.My main responsibility is creating course videos from scripts. I do this using Pictory and Adobe Premiere Pro. Other responsibilities include updating course videos and documents in our eLearning Platform and improving performance, efficiency, and processes by suggesting changes to deliver a refined final product for our learners.

This account has over 110,000 followers and reaches around 447,000 accounts per month. I copyedit all of Sensory with Sadie's online content and activity guides available for purchase on Etsy. I also help design the activity guides and play-plan PDFs. Sadie, the business owner, and I frequently collaborate to ensure that PDF designs and content align with her objectives.

The Mercury is a huge part of Manhattan history, and I was given the great opportunity to provide quality content to our media consumers in Manhattan and beyond. As news editor, I edited all stories published in the newspaper, oversaw a team of reporters and ensured the newspaper’s production ran seamlessly.Additionally, I managed news reporters, which included assigning stories and provided guidance within their respective beats. I also trained staff on AP style guidelines, syntax and proper diction to allow them to elevate their own writing. To produce the paper, I designed pages using Adobe InDesign and decided newsworthiness of stories for the construction of the front page.For a proper team flow, I helped conduct weekly team meetings to review upcoming plans and stories, ensuring all writers were informed and prepared for their assignments.

The Collegian Media Group is a national award-winning multimedia organization that publishes the Royal Purple Yearbook, Manhappenin' magazine and the Collegian digital and hardcopy newspaper.I copyedited all stories for The Collegian published on our website and in the hardcopy newspaper to ensure they read complete, clear, accurate and free of grammar and AP style errors. I offered feedback and direction to desk editors and writers to maintain high-quality articles. Additionally, I identified articles needing more attention or missing key details, and decided whether a story is publication-ready.Other duties included attending weekly staff meetings and working production nights to assist the staff and Editor in Chief in producing and polishing stories for the weekly 16-page paper. I interviewed sources and crafted articles that depicted unique experiences relevant to subject matter. Stories published online have received over 5,000 views.
