Kira spearhead the development of an urban planning method and data set that has been implemented across six countries and published by MIT, Harvard and the UN and featured at the Architectural Biennale. Kira’s projects include designing an award-winning post-disaster Interactive Voice Response prototype for emergency relief, an AI data capture concept to enhance real-time urban demographic data collection, and spearheading the development of a first of its kind “Habitat Assessment” tool for data capture and decision making in urban planning for Central Asia. Kira is a recipient of the IBM Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, the MIT Alumna Public Leadership Award and MIT’s Legatum Fellowship for Entrepreneurship. She is bilingual, a published author and holds a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
