I have more than a decade of extensive experience in library and information science, having held senior roles in reputable institutions. My career journey includes key positions such as Senior Librarian at the Akhtar Hameed Khan National Centre for Rural Development in Islamabad, Chief Librarian at Riphah International University, and Senior Librarian at the University of Sargodha Women Campus Faisalabad. These roles involved developing library policies, managing library teams, overseeing resource acquisition, and supporting academic and research initiatives to enhance users' library experience.In addition to institutional roles, I serve as a Resource Person at Allama Iqbal Open University, where I contribute to training and development programs for emerging LIS professionals. My skills in research, digital resource management, and library software customization have proven critical in adapting libraries, and information literacy to the evolving needs of academia. I have a strong foundation in information retrieval, digital library establishment, and using tools to assess user satisfaction with web-based library services. Among my achievements, I have authored several research papers on themes such as leadership in librarianship, entrepreneurial opportunities for LIS graduates, and the evaluation of information retrieval systems, digital libraries, and social media use in academia. My commitment to the profession is also evident in my active participation in workshops and conferences, where I have contributed to professional development and networked with industry leaders.My MPhil thesis on gender differences in information-seeking behavior reflects my dedication to understanding diverse user needs, a principle that I apply in my professional roles to support equitable access to information. Moreover, I am doing PhD and my Thesis research is on entrepreneurship in the field of LIS. Furthermore, my awards and grants recognize my contributions to advancing the field of library and information science in Pakistan.
